Young Entrepreneurs' Event to Motivate Students

By Connect Mason News Director Elizabeth Stern

Mason’s School of Management will host the fourth annual Young Entrepreneurs’ Academy conference Friday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the ground floor of the JC.

"YEA is our signature event for the undergraduate entrepreneurship studies program. It brings successful entrepreneurs to campus to inform and motivate our students, many of whom may go on to start their own companies in the future," according to Dean Richard Klimoski.

The event will feature speakers, including two Mason graduates who have started successful businesses. Students will have the opportunity to learn about business skills as well as network with other successful entrepreneurs.

"[It’s] really for students across the board who have a business currently or who know that they would like to be entrepreneurs," said Assistant Professor of Management Jim Wolfe. He also noted that the event was targeted mainly towards undergraduate students, but was open to graduate and even high school students, as well.

Register here for the event by Wednesday, March 19. The event is free although space is limited. A complimentary luncheon will be provided.
