Clinton and McCain Top Super Tuesday Charts

By Connect Mason Reporter John Koblan

Hillary Clinton and John McCain came out on top of Super Tuesday charts tonight, but quick delegate tallies don't mean the end of the race.

Hillary Clinton won New York and California, two big wins in terms of delegates. Obama won in the red states (those known to vote republican) like Kansas and Connecticut. He also succeeded in the southern states like Alabama and Georgia. However, Hillary won in the South with Tennessee.

On the republican side, McCain won a majority of the states. However, GOP voters are not sold on McCain just yet. Ann Coulter recently remarked that she would vote for Hillary over McCain. Some republicans may feel that McCain is not “conservative enough.” Huckabee’s upset wins in states like Georgia and West Virginia and Romney’s assorted wins may result from this GOP insecurity with McCain.

Check back later for more analysis and information on the upcoming Virginia primary.
