The Commission on Human Relations city panel gave the okay on two signs posted in the window of Geno's Steaks restaurant in Philadelphia. The signs read, "This is America: WHEN ORDERING PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH." The signs raised controversy, especially since many immigrants live in the area. Because the shop owner claimed he did not discriminate against any customers, it was deemed they could stay. The signs are directly above another sign that reads, "Management Reserves the Right to Refuse Service."
