Tornado and Flood Watch Issued for Fairfax, Va.

A tornado watch has been issued by the National Weather Service and will remain in effect until 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Additionally, a flood watch will be in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Showers and scattered thunderstorms are forecasted. Strong winds are also expected and may cause damage.

In the event of severe weather, it is encouraged to stay indoors at the lowest level possible, avoiding windows, until the storm has passed completely.
