Every week Connect2Mason will offer five entertainment picks for your weekend. Ranging from on-campus to off-campus events, Connect2Mason's Top 5 will give you a jump start on your weekend. Here are the Top 5 picks for this weekend:
1. Parkapalooza
When: May 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: President’s Park
Price: Free
Head over to President’s Park for a beach party. During this carnival-style event, there will be a roast pig along with other goodies like cotton candy,ice cream, giveaways, fun games, music, a photo booth and more! The Class of 2016 Class Council will also be giving away t-shirts, frisbees and lanyards! Come and celebrate the end of the semester at this fun, beach-themed event!
2. GMU Coachella Music Festival 2013
When: May 3, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: South Plaza (outside of the JC Bistro) on the Fairfax campus
Price: Free with Mason ID
Join the Music Productions Club and Habitat for Humanity for Mason's first ever Music Coachella Festival as they celebrate the arts and the end of the semester! With local artists, DJs and bands, along with a runway show by GMU's Fashion Society, you won't want to miss this event that is sure to be a great time!
3. Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo
When: May 4 at 8 p.m.
Where: Center for the Arts, Concert Hall
Price: Free with Mason ID
This all-male ballet company performs an impressive collection of both classical ballet and contemporary dance. Specializing in hilarious twists on classics such as “Swan Lake” and “Don Quixote,” these talented dancers play both male and female roles and do so with excellent form and skill. They're graceful movements and hilarious wit merge together to create a performance that is a delight for dance enthusiasts and first-comers alike.
4. Cinco de Mayo
When: May 4 at 7 p.m.
Where: Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax, VA
Price: $10 at the door, children 11 and under are free
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in an unconventional way this year with Mariachi Los Amigos, a live mariachi band, and Los Quetzales Mexican Dance Ensemble, a Mexican folkloric performing company! Featuring a variety of events, celebrating Cinco de Mayo is just as easy as traveling a few miles off campus.
5. Warm Bodies
When: May 3 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., May 4 at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and May 5 at 3 p.m.

After R, an unusual zombie, saves Julie, a human, from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion events that could transform the entire zombie-filled world in this paranormal romantic comedy film. Featuring Nicholas Hault and Teresa Palmer, the 9 p.m. showing on May 4 will be a special event to see who in the audience has on the best zombie make-up possible. Prize packs will be also given to the best of the best!
