Powell's Playbook: My new baby is HERE
Today was a big day for me. I had a baby priority overnighted to me! Its name is Canon 1D Mark II n. It is beautiful. My day pretty much revolved around that.
9:45 a.m.
The camera got here. I was not awake
10:30 a.m.
I awoke to an email from FedEx confirming the delivery of my camera. I was so exited. No. You don't understand.
11:00 a.m.
I woke cody up with my incessant photo-taking. 8.5 frames per second makes me very...excited. No. You probably don't understand.
12:30 p.m.
My laziness from the night before had rolled to today. I took a taxi to The Q. I thought that there was open practice, but that was not the case. I just had to screw around with my camera until post-practice pressers. It was the most productive screwing around I've ever done.
1:30 p.m.
They press conferences entertained me. Seriously. Ike and Luke got relatively mad about all the Final Four questions. I've followed the team, and I can tell you. THEY HATE IT.
I showed Rafael, the Mason team photog, my new baby. He was happy for me since he had one and was happy with it himself. He told me I would have fun with it at the Ohio State game. I'm SURE I will.
2:30 p.m.
I got lunch in the basement of the Hard Rock Cafe at Tower City. A cheeseburger, drink and dessert later, I was out $1.27. I'm good with that. I love being part of their rewards program.
I played with my camera while there and got all of my settings fixed.
3:30 p.m.
I returned to The Q, watched Ohio State pressers, then went back to the hotel.
I played with my camera. Then watched basketball on TV; the Marriott at the Key Center didn't have TNT. Bitter. Then I played with my camera more.
Rest of the night
I was a bit uncomfortable. Cody knows why. Supermoon had a part to play in that.
I still need to get pictures to Connect2Mason.com with an Ohio State preview. Wish me luck!
