New Dining Options for the Fall

By Connect2Mason Director Christian Smith

Fall 2009 promises to have many new dining options. Dining Services has just announced plans for a Chipotle-style restaurant called Burrito del Rey in SUB I opening at the beginning of the fall semester.

A new ordering style for La Patisserie will be available as well, allowing users to order online and then pick-up their order from the restaurant.

The new Recreation and Athletic Center, opening this fall at the site of the old Physical Education Building, will host a new Freshens with concession style food and grab-and-go sandwich options. As previously announced, the Starbucks will still open Aug. 24, operating 24 hours-a-day Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to midnight Friday through Saturday.

Future Fairfax campus dining plans include The Pilot House, anticipated to open in the fall of 2010 in the northeast sector housing area behind the One Stop Patriot Stop, slated to be a late night dining location hosting a triple-decker-pizza oven.
