When did you start your blog?

I started my blog back in the summer of 2006 and have been discussing Mason basketball on Internet forums since 2002.

Why do you blog?

During my freshman year I always searched the net for Mason basketball stories and opinion but found nothing. I grew tired of the limited coverage from the school's athletic website and wanted more.   I hesitated to start such a site prior to 2006 because to be honest I really thought there would be no interest or readers.  After 2006 (the season in which Mason's basketball team went to Final Four), I knew the demand would be there and I would be able to reach more fans.  The goal of the site was to put together my thoughts on Mason basketball and share them along with any relevant news to fans just like myself. I wanted to provide in-depth coverage and unbiased opinion. I don't know any other site that covers Mason related recruiting stories as much as I do.

What do you enjoy most about your blog?

I enjoy the interaction I get with fellow Mason basketball fans, whether they disagree or not with what I write.  I also enjoy the positive feedback I get from readers when I share news that they cannot find anywhere else.

Do you have any particular favorite posts?

My favorite posts were when I got to live blog from the sidelines during the CAA tournament (click link to replay live blog) last March. It was a great experience to chat live with Mason fans also watching the game.

Also I have to mention the post where I voiced my displeasure for the school's former mascot Gunston. That was a fun one to write. It got some quoting in the Washington Times, as a matter of fact.

How many people usually read your blog?

During the prime months of college basketball my site reaches any where from 3,000 to 6,000 unique visitors a month.  A lot of Mason alumni from all over read frequently and share their thoughts in the comments.  I am always trying to reach more Mason fans, students, and alumni.

What do you do when you're not blogging?

When I am not working or blogging I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and dog, traveling, watching football (NY Jets fan), and of course happy hours.
