Mason women's volleyball defeats Fordham 3-1 on Senior Night
|The Mason women’s volleyball team defeated the Fordham Rams three sets to one on Senior Night at the RAC on Saturday. The first, third, and fourth sets were highly competitive, with the first and the fourth set exceeding 25 points for a winner to emerge. The Patriots came out victorious due to huge contributions by seniors Tori Price, Lana Zonjic and Laura Spencer. All three put on a show in their last home match of their careers. Zonjic and Spencer led the way for the Patriots with 14 and 12 kills respectively, while Price tallied a team-high 41 assists for the Patriot offense.
Mason women's volleyball falls to Duquesne 3-0
|Mason women’s volleyball team lost Friday night against Duquesne three sets to none. The Duquesne blocking was the story of the match, which they ended with eleven blocks to Mason’s five. Most of these came in the first set causing the Patriots to switch up attacking formations to get around the blockers. Mason fought hard in the second and third sets but ultimately lost them both.

|Mason men’s soccer team will face off against Rhode Island on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at George Mason Stadium in their last home game of the season. This is a rescheduled match from October, when pour playing conditions and heavy rain caused the game to be called off in the 55th minute with Mason up 2-0. The Patriots (7-2-3, 2-0-2 A-10) are undefeated at home and will look to finish off strong before heading to George Washington on Sunday to take on the Colonials.
GW sweeps Mason women's volleyball
|Mason women’s volleyball team fell 3-0 at home on Sunday to George Washington. Mason played well in each set but ultimately did not do enough to avoid the sweep. Mason lost the first set 19-25, the second set 17-25, and the third set 22-25. The loss drops Mason’s record to 6-17 overall and 2-7 in Atlantic 10 conference play.

|Mason women’s soccer team will face off against George Washington on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. The Patriots (6-8-1, 3-2 A-10) are coming off of a 2-1 overtime loss to Richmond and will look to bounce back in this matchup. In the final home game of the season, the team will honor seniors Lyndse Hokanson, Jazmin Cardoso, Casey Vornadore and Nicole Clark prior to kickoff. A Revolutionary Rivalry point is up for grabs and will be awarded to the winning team.
Mason women's volleyball falls to conference rival VCU
|Rivalries bring out the best in a team. That was certainly the case Friday night as Mason lost to long time rival Virginia Commonwealth University in a thrilling five game set 3-2.
Each team traded sets 27-25, 17-25, 27-25, 22-25 until VCU won the final set 15-12. The loss drops Mason’s record to 1-3 in conference play and 5-13 overall and was their third loss in four Atlantic 10 conference games. VCU improved to 5-0 in conference play and 17-4 overall.

|Mason men’s soccer team returns home to open their Atlantic 10 conference season against Rhode Island on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. The Patriots (5-2-1) are returning home after a three-game road stretch, coming off of a 1-0 win against Hartford in their last matchup. The Patriots will also take on Massachusetts on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at home.
Mason women's volleyball drops A-10 home opener to Saint Louis
|The George Mason University women’s volleyball team lost their Atlantic 10 home opener on Friday night in a 3-1 loss to Saint Louis. George Mason took the first set 25-15 before dropping the next three 16-25, 14-25, and 21-25.
The Patriots came out firing in the first set landing 14 kills out of their 32 total attempts, while only committing two errors. This, combined with nine errors from the visiting Billikens, led to a 25-15 first set victory for Mason.
Women's volleyball falls to Temple, 3-1 in Patriot Invitational Saturday
|The George Mason University women’s volleyball team wrapped up the Patriot Invitational Saturday night with a 3-1 loss to the Temple Owls in four sets. It was their fourth game in the two-day tournament hosted by the Patriots at the RAC.
Welcome to the A-10: Fall 2013 cross country and volleyball preview
|The coaches have voted and more preseason polls have been released by the Atlantic 10 conference. As to be expected for newcomers in a conference, it’ll be a tough uphill climb for the Patriots in the Fall.
In their inaugural season of competition, the women’s volleyball team was predicted to finish seventh overall, earning a mere 26 points. The nine A-10 head coaches unanimously selected the defending champion Dayton Flyers to repeat as the A-10 champions.
