Mason groups represented at annual March for Life
|Several Mason student groups, including Catholic Campus Ministry and GMU Life Choices for Students, skipped their first classes of the spring semester and joined thousands in the annual March for Life on Monday.
The March for Life began Jan. 22, 1974 one year following the Supreme Court’s Roe V. Wade decision, legalizing abortion in the United States.

An agreement for GMU professor arrested for alleged child pornography possession still pending
|An agreement has yet to be reached in the child pornography case involving part-time Italian language professor, Diego Fasolini, the GW Hatchet reported.
“Nothing has been agreed to at this point,” Moore was quoted as having said by the GW Hatchet. “We’ll see what happens.”
Mason cheerleader pursuing Team USA bid
|Anna Juzwiak, a member of Mason’s co-ed cheerleading team, is awaiting a potential tryout to become part of Team USA and participate in international competition. Juzwiak is part of a four-woman squad that submitted a video of one of its routines hoping for a shot at making America’s team.

Washington Post columnist joining Mason faculty
|Washington Post columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Steven Pearlstein is joining the Mason faculty. Beginning in fall 2011, Pearlstein will become Clarence J. Robinson professor of Public and International Affairs. In his new role, Pearlstein will teach classes in economics, public affairs and media.
Professor Wegman responds to plagiarism allegations
|Mason professor and statistician, Edward Wegman, offered a response to the plagiarism charges brought against him. Allegations state that a 2006 congressional climate science report, authored by Wegman, contained several instances of plagiarism. George Mason University is currently investigating the allegations.
In an e-mail response, Wegman stated that "these attacks are unprecedented in my 42 years as an academic and scholar."
