Stargazers Invited to Obsevation Sessions

The Astronomy Department will hold observation sessions throughout this month and the rest of the semester. Attendance is free and open to all.

To attend the observation sessions, students are to meet in the Research I Lobby near the elevators. Sessions will begin near the times indicated below and will last around one and a half hours.

All sessions will be held on Wednesdays. The dates, according to the Department of Physics and Astronomy’s site, are:

October 15: 8:00 p.m.
October 29: 7:30 p.m.
November 5: 7:00 p.m.
November 19: 6:30 p.m.
December 3: 6:00 p.m.

Observation sessions are subject to cancellation depending on the weather.

Students are also reminded that no one is allowed to access the observatory without official permission outside of these sessions.
