Irish-American student returns to Ireland to film his senior project
|Senior Paul O’Halloran, a film and video studies major, is headed to Ireland this Christmas to shoot his senior film, “Ard Laoch na hÉireann,” which is dedicated to his great-grandfather. O’Halloran, who is Irish, said he hopes the film will show a different side of Ireland. O’Halloran answered some questions about his film for Fourth Estate.

|The Auld Shebeen, an Irish pub and restaurant in the city of Fairfax, offers residents a taste of Irish culture in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Many students know the Auld Shebeen for its club tucked in the basement of the establishment. However, for those who feel less comfortable in a club scene, the pub offers live Irish music on Friday and Saturday evenings from some of the area’s best traditional Irish acts.
