Mason students continue to find mold in dorms
|In December, George Mason University dealt with students’ concerns about mold growth in some of the Fairfax campus dormitories.
Although Mason’s Office of Housing and Residence Life attempted to resolve mold growth in the dorms, some students are still experiencing issues with mold.
One resident of Commonwealth Hall, who wished to remain anonymous, reported mold growing in her bathroom in December. Over winter break, she said, the university attempted to remove the mold.
“They got a lot of it, but there is still more,” she said.

Mason law school ranked among top 50 in the nation
|U.S. News & World Report recently ranked George Mason University’s School of Law as number 41 on their 2014 list of best law schools in the country.
The degree to which the U.S. News & World Report increases enrollment is unclear.
“In the past, many students told us that USNews rankings were very important to helping them decide which law school to attend,” wrote Daniel Polsby, dean of the law school, in an email. “Today, cost factors seem to be more important, and USNews less important, to this decision.”
Review: Are 3D movies really worth it?
|The term “3D” was both exciting and foreign quite a number of years ago. The first 3D movie I think I ever saw in theaters was “Spy Kids 3D: Game Over,” which came out nearly ten years ago, back when one side of the 3D glasses was red and the other was blue.
This was at a time when 3D technology was at its infancy. Back then, 3D technology had yet to be perfected and those glasses weren’t the popular fixtures in movie theaters all over the country that they are today.

The loss extended Mason’s losing streak to four straight games and it was the second loss in as many days to the Spiders (14-3), the other coming on a 11-2 throttling at Pitt Field in Richmond on Tuesday night.
Northeastern storms back from 24-point deficit to oust Mason in CAA semifinals

Lee found an opening on the right side and drove to the rim for an uncontested layup with 3.0 seconds left in regulation, leading to a 69-67 victory over the Patriots.
